Does it hurt when they treat an ingrown toenail?

Someone said to me that they cut into your meat and flesh and take out the nail. Sounds bad.Does it hurt when they treat an ingrown toenail?
It can be quite painful if you do it on your own in your own bathroom, but if you are going to a Doctor's office to do it, they will numb the area first.Does it hurt when they treat an ingrown toenail?

Yes it hurts, but after wards you can prevent it from happening again. Just cut the corners in deep towards the back regulary.

the biggest problem is the treatment gives you uncontrollable flatulence
It does hurt from what I have heard, yes. But it has to be taken care of, so bare down on your lovers hand, and get it over with now before it get's worse. That's my advice.

I highly doubt it would be fatal, all though anything can be fatal.
