Ingrown nails will not grow out by themselves-- as the nail grows, it will continue growing inwards.

you need to go to the doctor. I just went through this myself. Go to a podiatrist and have them cut it out. I was terrified, but it did not hurt at all thanks to a local anesthetic, and it feels so much better now.
